We’ve got a brand new section on our site and it’s dedicated to any of you who dread that moment when you have to slip off your sarong and bare-all on the beach. Well not all - we’re not talking nudism here – but… you know what we mean!
We love our curves, but sometimes it doesn’t hurt to have a little helping hand to top our confidence levels back up to a full 100%. And our new swimwear department does just that!
Ladies, may we introduce… shapewear swimwear!
All 79 styles come with built-in control; light enough to be completely comfortable for a full day at the beach yet just enough to hold you in for that feel-good boost! It’s all thanks to a hidden powermesh lining – so no one will ever know it’s there.

In the Swim! Swimwear Styles to Suit You

Once upon a time, when it came to choosing swimwear we were limited to just a bikini or a one-piece. But now that’s all changed so you flaunt or flatter the areas you want.
A tankini is two piece set like a bikini, except that the top comes down to cover your tummy. It gives you a more fashionable look than most one picee swimsuits yet you don’t have to expose your tummy like with a bikini!
This tankini set from Panache is underwired like a bra so gives you great shape and support:
If your tummy is the area you’re worried about, a blouson tankini makes a great alternative to tummy control swimwear. Unlike other swimsuits – it won’t cling!
If you’d prefer to keep the tops of your thighs covered up then a swimdress is a flattering and feminine option:
And if you want the best of both worlds then try a blouson tankini and skort combo!
We’ve also got a great choice of classic one-piece suits, glam bikinis and beautiful beachwear, so whatever your style, you’ll find the swimsuit to suit you!
Life’s a beach!

There’s been so much talk of sunshine and airports over the last couple of weeks that we just can’t get ‘holidays’ out of our heads. So guess what we’re talking about today – you got it, your holiday wardrobe! Starting of course, with beachwear, because let’s face it, most of us are planning little foray to the seaside this year, even if it’s just to Sunny Devon!
The plus-size debate
Choosing a beach look is infinitely more difficult for us curvy girls than it is for those skinny minnie’s, so we thought we’d give you a quick run through of your options – you know, show you what you can wear, how you can cover up if you’re not totally comfortable with your curves and let you in on a secret the stars would probably like to keep to themselves. How does that sound? Good? Then read on ladies!
The plus size bikini
Do you show your belly, don’t you show your belly? It’s the age-old debate for us plus size women. The answer depends on you and your figure. We don’t want to get caught up in the whole ‘shape’ debate, but if you’re an ‘hourglass’, you’ll probably be more comfortable in a bikini than an ‘apple’. At the end of the day, it all comes down to confidence. And if you feel good in a bikini, there’s no reason you shouldn’t wear one.
So we’ve chosen two gorgeous plus size bikinis to show you. The first, by famed lingerie brand Freya, is a must for big-busted ladies. As you’d expect from the bra experts, it gives great support. The halterneck style and soft cups are a great alternative to underwiring – and we think this colour combo is particularly slimming on a plus size figure.
For a more fun and frivolous bikini, turn to our beach-to-beach number. Polka dots are really in this season and the red is such an attention grabber. You can wear it with straps for extra support or strapless for a perfect tan.
The star secret
Now, you might have noticed that there’s a swimsuit in the gorgeous collection above priced at £122. Wow, that’s a lot of money! But before you cross it off your shopping list, take a minute to ponder just how good you want to look on the beach, because as the name suggest, this is a miracle worker!
The big claim? Look 10lbs lighter in 10 seconds. Surely enough to get the attention of every plus size lady around!
How does it do it? With all-over support and triple holding power! This little beauty is the kind of swimsuit you see on the stars, their secret to a beach perfect body. We’ve seen the results on a plus size figure for ourselves, but of course, you haven’t. So if you’re thinking about investing in a beach-gorgeous look, we say – ‘try it out’! Order it, try it on at home and if you don’t think it gives you £122 worth of gorgeous beach body, send it back in the same condition and we’ll give you a complete refund!
Cover ups
Beach dresses are a great way to cover up on the walk from the hotel to the beach. So if you’re a little shy of showing your plus size curves, maybe you should invest in one of our Joe Browns swim dresses. In bright prints and floral patterns, they’re the easy way to make a beach-bound style statement.
Of course, you could just as easily throw on a casual white shirt, any of your Simply Be Summer dresses or a pair of your favourite denim shorts. After all, covering up is easy the easy bit!
