Here she is, Teer Wayde, the gorgeous Aussie model wearing her pick of the Simply Be lingerie collection! You have to agree, she looks absolutely stunning. The vintage stylish, her vibrant red hair, those fabulous curves and our beautiful lingerie – it’s a match made in heaven! We’re loving the backdrop, outside is such a fab way to shoot lingerie, so unexpected. But then, the weather over there is probably a whole lot nicer than here!

Okay, so this week we decided to do a style special packed with top tips from curvy women. So we sent a tweet out to the plus size community, inviting them to get involved – and the response was overwhelming!
Everyone said something different, but it all came down to one thing - wear what you love and love what you wear! For plus size women, fashion is about being yourself, knowing what works for you and holding your head high. Don’t listen to the rules, don’t be afraid to follow the trends and most importantly, don’t wear anything you’re not 100% happy in!

We’re doing something a little different this week. Instead of looking at the trends or following the latest celebrity look, we’re going undercover and looking at your lingerie! Because lingerie is the plus-size woman’s secret weapon!
Who says support can’t be pretty?
There’s a nasty rumour going round that full-figured women can’t get pretty lingerie. Well we’re here to tell you that’s a lie! If you’ve ever dipped into our plus-size lingerie collection, you’ll know it covers every woman’s wish! Cute, pretty, sassy or sexy – you can do it all with Simply Be’s lingerie collection!

We’ve got bright colours, subtle blacks and every style you could want, including figure-fixing cheats… oh, yes, your lingerie is a tool and you can use it to your fashion advantage! A gorgeous starting point
So, you know you’ve got loads of gorgeous options in your size – now let’s put it all in perspective. Your lingerie is the starting point of every outfit. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that it can make or break an outfit. After all, there’s nothing worse than wearing a low cut dress and finding that your bra keeps popping into view.
So our advice is get a collection of plus size lingerie… plunge bras, balconette bras, t-shirt bras and maybe even a couple of figure fixing options for those special occasions (or indeed, your everyday looks, because you’ll be surprised just how comfortable they are). Multiway bras are important too. If you’re a busty woman, you may not get the support you need from a strapless bra but you can always attach clear straps to a multiway one!
Then once you’ve got a collection in place, match your bra to your outfit. Pick a colour and style that will complement what you’re wearing – you’ll be surprised just what a difference it’ll make. And though it’s tempting to wear those pretty or flirty bras everyday, try to resist – detailed bras will often show through light Summer layers, so save them for the right outfit!
And finally, remember that bras wear out just like every other piece in your wardrobe – but it’s not always blatantly obvious. Test your bras regularly to make sure they still fit. The back band will stretch over time, so move to a tighter hook if you feel you’re not getting the same support you did when you first bought it.

Okay, so maybe we got a tad distracted by all the gorgeous Autumn/Winter trends strutting their way down the London Fashion Week catwalks. But now, we’re right back on track with one of the Spring’s biggest trends – peek-a-boo!
This look is all about showing a little skin, but just a little mind you. Slit sleeves, sheers layers, cut-out patterns, you name it, we’ve seen it on the catwalks… and in the Simply Be collection! So today’s blog isn’t just all about working the peek-a-boo trend – it’s about doing it the plus-size way!
Peek-a-boo and plus-size
When it comes to picking flattering trends for your Spring/Summer wardrobe, peek-a-boo probably isn’t one of your top choices – but it should be! Why? Because this trend is about finding your favourite bits and showing them off!
Let’s start from the top shall we? Backs and shoulders are probably the most popular way to wear the peek-a-boo trend – and it’s easy to see why! A flash of a back or a glimpse of a shoulder can be so very stylish – and whoever heard of a plus size lady with a complex about her shoulders? To do the trend this way, simply choose a back-cut top like this gorgeous blue number or cute holiday look like this shoulder-detail, Hawaiian piece!
Now onto the bust! You’ve got two options – go all-out glam with a front cut-out top like this glitzy party choice or play it down in a wide knit jumper! Whichever you choose, you’ll be right on-trend and never showing too much skin!
When it comes to arms, you can use peek-a-book styles to show them off or cover them up – the choice is yours! For example, this Mica Paris Catsuit will make your arms the centre of attention!
Or if you’re arm conscious, what about a subtle, ripped-sleeve top to flash a little skin without revealing too much? Maybe something like this gorgeous Jersey Split Sleeve Jumper? Or this cut-out shoulder top to draw the eye right away from your insecurities? You see, the peek-a-boo trend is plus-size heaven!
Now where were we? Oh yes – legs and feet. Well, you have to have a pair of pee-a-boo leggings – they’re this season’s essential leg-wear! And peek-a-boo is big in the shoe department too! From boots to sandals, flashing a little foot is the perfect way for a nervous plus-size lady to dip her toes into the peek-a-boo trend.
