We don’t know about you but we can’t quite believe it’s May already! Lots of fab things happened in April to look back on though – here’s our recap in case you missed any of it. :)
The finals of the Simply Be sponsored Ms Curvaceous UK 2012 model competition took place – take a look at our Facebook photo album to see all the gorgeous finalists working Simply Be fashion on the catwalk.
The winner was the stunning Simone Charles – congratulations Simone from the team at Simply Be!
Hanna and Allie both rocked our PU sleeve trench in preparation for all the April showers – a very wise fashion buy we’d say! Don’t they look amazing?
We were also bowled over by Em’s ‘Smouldering Love Letter to Simply Be‘ – it left us blushing!
April saw us officially christen our shiny new Leicester store, with a VIP store event plus guest appearance and ribbon cutting by none-other than Gemma Collins from The Only Way Is Essex.

Well what a busy month March was!
We opened brand new Simply Be stores in Doncaster…
…and Teesside!

Stiletto and Stefanie both rocked our Angel Ribbons star print top in their own fabulous ways.

And of course (like everyone else) we went over to the new Facebook timeline page. We rummaged through a few cupboards to find some early catalogues and took a few snaps we thought you might enjoy.

It seemed like a long dark February but now it feels like spring has finally sprung!

Well the first month of 2012 has certainly flown by and there’s been lots going on!
We launched our 12 key items for Spring Summer, which have gone down a storm…
Here’s Clare from Big Beauty Blog wearing the Zig Zag dress from the collection- how fabulous does she look?
We also launched the Simply Yours Gok Wan collection to bloggers and the press – full story here. So many lovely bloggers came, here are just a few! The beautiful Becky of Invest In Your Chest blog reviewed our Gok Wan Osaka body. One word – wow.
PLUS Model Magazine hit the headlines many times over with their attention-grabbing photoshoot starring model Katya Zharkova. Hopefully it’s made a few people stand up and listen!

November has been a very busy month for Simply Be and no doubt for you too!
Last week we had our Simply Be Spring Summer 2012 Press Launch to give journalists and bloggers a sneak preview of what we’ve got coming up for you from next February.
There have been lots of fab write-ups from the day with some great pics.

It’s been a busy month for curvy celebs in the news – and it seems that, even in 2011, all a woman has to do is dare to show off her shape in a dress and it hits the headlines.
Martine McCutcheon stepped out in a fab maxi dress and has been dubbed radiant but also sparked off lots more comment.
She does seem to have encouraged more people to step forward and say that yes, fuller figured is fabulous so why not just look hot with what you have got? See here and here.
Christina Aguilera has been criticised for showing off her figure in a short tight dress, whilst Kelly Clarkson wore a very similar dress that just happened to be longer and a different colour and yet was ‘flying the flag for curvy women’.
And earlier in the month, Adele graced the cover of Cosmo - her fab figure as well as her beautiful face.
Lastly, we just thought we’d share this little gem that was doing the rounds on Twitter – it made us smile!
