Hope you all had a lovely start to the year. We’ve got through the cold, snow and winter blues of January and we’ve made it to the other side – hurray! (Now there’s only one month ’til we begin the start of spring) :)

Lots of things have been happening this past month, so if you missed any of it, here’s a run down of our favourites.

We were very proud to announce that Simply Be are sponsors of The Official British Plus Size Fashion Weekend, taking place in London on February 15th and 16th during London Fashion Week. Remi Ray (pictured below) of Trapped in a Skinny World partnered with Evolve magazine to organise this amazing event, celebrating the curves of the UK and Europe. We’ll be right in on the action so keep your eyes peeled for more on this, in our blog update.

The gorgeous plus size model Robyn Lawley has again been in the news to discuss her weight issues. She criticizes the industry for catering to thin models; “It is crazy to make me have to change my body to fit fashion. Fashion should be changed to shape people’s bodies. If I was a designer, I would definitely pick a range of different sized girls.” Read the full story here.

Have you seen our brand new Gok Wan lingerie and shapewear collection? The hot new range was featured in the Daily Mail this month, showcasing its seductive colours, from slimming shapewear to the retro-look balcony bra and high waisted briefs!

We absolutely adore it, check out some of these smokin’ hot shots featuring our gorgeous model Laura.

This month we welcomed a new member to the Simply Be family, Bea! She is our cute cartoon illustrated by the very talented Lucy, check out her blog Cartoon Fatshion. We had a Facebook poll to decide on the name and from the long list of suggestions, Bea was the favourite, picked by creator Lucy. Throughout the season Bea will be gracing us with her presence, so keep an eye out for her!

We love all the pictures you guys send in wearing our Simply Be clothes. Here are two fabulous bloggers working their Simply be wardrobe in style.

First up we have the lovely Hanna from The Wardrobe Challenge. Braving the January snow she steps out in our new Galaxy Print Dress. This high low hem style tie-dye print dress works wonders dressed up or down. Team it with heels and a blazer for an evening look, or rock it like Hanna in a dark leather jacket!

We love metallics and this month saw Bethany from My Arched Eyebrow review our radiant new Joanna Hope biker style jacket. In metallic gold she lets her jacket do the talking, teaming it with a pastel top and black jeans. Go ahead and make a statement… :)

Next month we’ve got some amazing things in the pipeline, so keep your eyes peeled ladies – you don’t want to miss out!

What’s been your January highlight? xx
